Le Centre Universitaire est l'un des établissements qui relève de l'Université Cadi Ayyad Marrakech, a été créé en 2007 à Kelâa des Sraghna dans le cadre de la décentralisation de l'enseignement supérieur. Dès lors, le Centre a eu comme siège principal le centre de formation des enseignants de la région de Kelâa des Sraghna jusqu'à l'année universitaire 2011-2012.
